Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Collect requirements, design, implement, and sustain the build and infrastructure tools utilized by development and testing teams.

• Develop new features and create tools from initial concept to final release.

• Architect and develop highly scalable software operating on Akamai infrastructure.

• Build frontend and backend software for vulnerability management and to enhance engineering productivity.

• Design, maintain, and scale build systems across multiple platforms.

• Improve build performance, parallelism, and dependency management across various target architectures.

• Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to convert requirements into effective solutions.

• Add new features and refine and optimize existing ones.

• Share ideas and insights during process-improvement sessions to foster continuous product enhancement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of relevant experience.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Comprehensive knowledge of object-oriented programming, including proficiency in Python, Java, Go, and C/C++.

• Familiarity with multi-platform build generators such as CMake, Bazel, Cargo, or Meson.

• Experience in configuring C/C++ compilers, including GCC/Clang.

• Proficient with toolchains and sysroots for multi-architecture compilation targets, including AArch64/ARMv8/ARMv9, Intel, and AMD architectures.

• Practical experience with service-oriented architecture, REST, microservices, databases, and SQL.

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Cloudbees CI/Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab.

• Strong understanding of security, compliance, and service-level agreements (SLA).
