This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Rapidly deliver data environments utilizing cutting-edge technologies and best practices.
• Design and construct new data areas for our clients from the ground up.
• Set best practices for technology to enhance analytical insights.
• Provide comprehensive data solutions that reveal actionable insights.
• Acquire and transform various datasets.
• Ensure that data models are reusable, data pipelines are scalable, and data visualizations are effective.
• Select, develop, and optimize data technology environments.
• Guarantee that development adheres to standards, specifications, controls, audits, and procedures to maintain data integrity, quality, accuracy, usefulness, and timeliness.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in data engineering, offering hands-on technical support.
• Lead architectural discussions and offer guidance on design decisions and trade-offs.
• Establish standards for AI-enhanced development practices and mentor the team.
• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of both client-facing and internal data projects.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts, Business Stakeholders, and the Team Lead.
• Define the technology strategy and roadmap for the Data Team.
• Act as a data architect for client projects and design scalable data architectures.
• Promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning.
• Enhance processes, tools, and methodologies to foster efficiency and innovation.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8–10 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a comparable role.
• Strong expertise in designing and implementing data solutions.
• Active, hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, or similar is highly desirable.
• Proficient in data modeling, ETL processes, and data integration.
• Experience with data warehousing solutions.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proficient in SQL, Python, and Spark.
• Experience with modern data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, and Microsoft Fabric is a plus.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Effective communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to balance technical requirements with business objectives and client needs.
• Must reside in Canada.
• Must provide proof of legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Annual bonus ranging from 15–25% of salary, based on individual and company performance.
