Full Stack Developer – React/Java

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and sustain React applications that facilitate GFM modernization, taking ownership of front-end features from the technical design phase through to delivery.

• Collaborate with functional analysts and UI/UX designers to convert requirements and designs into responsive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces.

• Create reusable React components and establish consistent methodologies for state management, navigation, forms, validation, and error handling.

• Integrate React applications with RESTful APIs and assist in developing back-end services using Java and Spring Boot.

• Upgrade legacy functionalities while ensuring the preservation of vital business rules and user continuity.

• Write maintainable, secure code and automated tests; engage in code reviews and mentor fellow developers in React and front-end practices.

• Diagnose front-end, API, and back-end issues related to performance, reliability, and usability.

• Work alongside DevSecOps engineers on CI/CD integration, automated testing, and deployment across various environments.

• Collaborate with testers to verify functionality, address defects, and confirm that acceptance criteria are satisfied.

• Contribute to technical planning, estimation, documentation, and communication regarding implementation options, dependencies, and risks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Capability to obtain a Secret clearance.

• At least five years of experience in software development or a related role.

• Active IAT Level II certification.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or another technical discipline relevant to information systems design.

• Strong, recent hands-on experience in developing and maintaining production applications utilizing React and JavaScript, including functional components, hooks, component composition, and state management.

• Proficiency in HTML and CSS, with a focus on responsive layouts and cross-browser compatibility.

• Experience in integrating front-end applications with RESTful APIs, including asynchronous data management, authentication flows, and error handling.

• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot for the development and maintenance of back-end application functionality and services.

• Strong grasp of software design principles, reusable components, and maintainable application architecture.

• Experience in writing automated tests and utilizing browser developer tools for troubleshooting application behavior and performance.

• Familiarity with Git, participating in code reviews, and working with CI/CD tools such as GitLab or Jenkins.

• Experience in Linux environments to support application development and troubleshooting.

• Experience with Jira and Confluence, or similar tools, for work tracking and technical documentation.

• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities, capable of working independently, collaborating across disciplines, and managing competing priorities.

• CompTIA Security+ CE is highly preferred.

• Preferred: experience with TypeScript, AngularJS or similar frameworks, Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, Playwright, accessible interfaces, reusable component libraries, design systems, containerized applications, Kubernetes, AWS, and Department of Defense or other large enterprise systems.
