Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Establish a comprehensive local environment and gain fluency in the company’s systems.

• Contribute to the development of a repeatable environment for analyzing anti-bot challenges.

• Construct a reliable environment that accurately identifies how targets or providers obstruct scraping and the techniques they employ.

• Evaluate anti-bot and bot-mitigation systems such as DataDome, Cloudflare Turnstile, Kasada, PerimeterX, and Akamai.

• Devise systems and strategies to circumvent anti-bot mechanisms.

• Transform isolated breakthroughs into sustainable, repeatable testing processes.

• Collaborate with senior engineers to design and create a greenfield agentic environment for testing anti-bot behaviors and bypass techniques.

• Work independently on intricate issues, leveraging knowledge from the broader engineering team.

• Clearly communicate plans and provide support for major incidents with profound technical expertise.

⛳️ Requirements

• Profound understanding of HTTP, TLS, fingerprinting, proxies, headers, cookies, and browser behavior.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities using a scientific and methodical approach.

• Strong practical skills in Node.js and TypeScript.

• Solid proficiency in Python.

• Experience with large-scale backend systems, including Postgres, Redis/Valkey, MongoDB, Puppeteer/Camoufox, and Kubernetes.

• Capability to direct AI coding agents accurately and assess their outputs.

• Background in scraping, anti-bot or web security, reverse engineering, or developing research/academic tools.

• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively within a remote-first team.

• Direct experience in scraping is a strong advantage, though not a strict requirement.
