Tech Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Lead Engineering teams in a fast-paced, collaborative, and results-driven environment.

• Actively engage in creating full-stack solutions, producing high-quality code as part of the team's daily activities.

• Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and make technical decisions.

• Assist in resolving intricate technical challenges and eliminating obstacles for the team.

• Prototype, validate, and refine architectural solutions based on product and business requirements.

• Keep current with the technologies utilized in the team's stack.

• Establish and monitor technical efficiency and quality metrics.

• Collaborate with Product and Design leaders to align technical projects with strategic goals.

• Support Tech References and developers in their technical development while establishing engineering best practices.

• Manage team capacity and prioritize technical tasks.

• Modify squad rituals and workflows with an emphasis on continuous improvement.

• Balance delivery, quality, speed, and team growth.

• Ensure proper documentation and facilitate knowledge sharing.

• Lead management rituals and mentor Engineering teams.

• Plan promotions and scope adjustments based on well-defined criteria.

• Promote psychological safety, autonomy, ownership, transparency, and collaboration.

• Organize teams, recruitment, onboarding, and career advancement.

• Serve as a guardian of the company culture while aligning team and organizational objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience as a Tech Lead, Engineering Manager, or senior technical leader in digital product teams.

• A genuinely hands-on profile, demonstrating a history of technical leadership and active coding contributions.

• Strong background as a full-stack developer.

• Practical knowledge in both front-end and back-end development, with hands-on experience using the team's technology stack.

• Experience with distributed systems architecture, microservices, CI/CD, DevOps, observability, and automated testing.

• Proficiency in AI tools applicable to software development, such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar technologies.

• Familiarity with language models and their integration into products and engineering workflows.

• Capability to balance direct technical contributions with strategic decision-making.

• Proven track record in leading development teams and supporting engineers' technical growth.

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and collaborative practices, including Agile, Kanban, and Scrum.

• Strong communication and influencing abilities with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience in structuring teams, managing performance, and developing growth plans.

• Preferred: background in scale-ups or rapidly expanding companies.

• Preferred: experience in healthtech or regulated sectors.

• Preferred: involvement in engineering culture initiatives, like chapters, guilds, tech radars, and tech talks.

• Preferred: experience with complex integrations and high transaction volumes.

• Preferred: history of implementing quality practices, including automated testing, structured code reviews, and monitoring.

• Preferred: ability to work across both front-end and back-end development.
