Tech Lead, Android Core Product

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of significant features and collaborate closely with the design team to deliver top-notch app functionalities.

• Help shape the direction of the Android team.

• Manage, maintain, and enhance reliability metrics for essential features.

• Engage in discussions spanning Product, Design, and Engineering.

• Review pull requests and provide support to team members.

• Address critical issues and manage unexpected challenges.

• Oversee feature releases and supply nightly builds for the QA team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Knowledge of Android components.

• Experience in building or contributing to at least one Android application.

• An intuitive understanding of product design and user empathy.

• A passion for pushing the limits of Android UI/UX.

• Awareness of the significance of tests and the approach to writing them.

• A self-motivated drive to enhance the app and codebase beyond the provided specifications.

• Strong experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Music Player Service, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, and JUnit tests.

• Exceptional communication skills.

• A user-focused problem-solving mindset.

• Experience with open-source Android projects (bonus).

• Experience with iOS, Web, or NodeJS (bonus).
