This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +3 more states.
• Recruit, nurture, and guide a team of sales representatives to meet or surpass district sales objectives.
• Influence course and program adoption decisions at higher education institutions.
• Establish the strategic direction for the district and design and execute district sales strategies.
• Propel revenue growth, enhance customer value, support learner advancement, and foster business expansion.
• Leverage data to concentrate efforts and prioritize activities across various territories.
• Allocate Marketing and Product team resources to targeted accounts.
• Identify and onboard sales representatives.
• Define territory objectives, track KPIs, and adjust representative performance through feedback and management.
• Educate direct reports on planning, territory management, and effective selling techniques.
• Offer developmental coaching and utilize Sales Coach resources.
• Promote the use and accuracy of OneCRM, product and platform knowledge, sales tools, and Customer Success Representative engagement.
• Represent Pearson's enterprise-level offerings and collaboratively create customer solutions.
• Engage Pearson resources to capture market share and optimize monetization in critical adoption scenarios.
• Oversee district-level budgets.
• Participate in designated national task forces.
• Meet or exceed targets for subscription-based sales and market share growth.
• Retain top talent.
• Collaborate with enterprise account executives, business development specialists, peers, colleagues, and Services team members.
• Conduct planning, pipeline reporting, business analytics, financial management, analysis, and reporting.
• A Bachelor's degree or a comparable combination of education and successful work experience.
• At least 5 years of outstanding sales success in the higher education sector.
• Proven informal and/or formal leadership experience; capacity to build and inspire a team.
• Proficient in identifying, organizing, and presenting data necessary to support opportunity approvals.
• Strong skills in articulating value propositions.
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems effectively.
• Proficient in data analytics, financial and business reporting, with the capability to make data-driven decisions.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance customer and Pearson outcomes.
• Demonstrated expertise in MS Office, CRM systems, sales reporting, and basic project management tools.
• Achievement-oriented and results-focused.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, along with strong presentation abilities.
