Team Leader – Operations, Exports

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Review Export/Import procedures in accordance with the bank's internal guidelines, UCP/ISBP/ISP, and relevant ICC regulations.

• Record transactions in the processing system across various Trade Finance business sectors.

• Conduct sanction checks for relevant parties in documentation.

• Manage documents related to Commodity Trade Operations.

• Enter documents into the system and prepare SWIFT messages for advising.

• Process transactions for commercial customers associated with Trade Finance, including Import, Export, and Guarantees.

• Oversee Internet Banking and Trade Finance Systems, including development, enhancements, functional requirements, testing, and implementation.

• Serve as the initial point of contact for user-related system issues.

• Ensure that procedures comply with bank policies and guidelines.

• Address customer complaints promptly and take necessary actions.

• Act as the final checker for import/export bill documents to maintain consistent examination standards.

• Suggest actions concerning changes in legislation, ICC regulations, government policies, and bank protocols.

• Collaborate with onshore teams and engage in team huddles to address challenges and ensure smooth client service delivery.

• Ensure that MBOs (Management by Objectives) are met in a timely manner.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree.

• A minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience in Trade Operations.

• At least 3-4 years of trade experience is essential.

• Graduate with a comprehensive understanding of Trade Finance products and functions.

• CDCS certification is preferred.

• Familiarity with SWIFT, Trade Finance, and financial operating systems.

• General knowledge of banking practices.

• A minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experience in General Banking and Trade Finance.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficient in MS Office applications (Word and Excel).

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical capabilities and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to perform under pressure, along with excellent organizational skills and a collaborative spirit.
