Team Lead, Software Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Lead and cultivate a high-achieving engineering team that emphasizes ownership, agile collaboration, and self-management.

• Oversee the technical advancement of the Neo Broker and its associated portal.

• Collaborate with Product, Design, and other stakeholders to create innovative financial products.

• Provide brokerage and investment insights to guide both technical and business decisions.

• Partner closely with product teams to introduce new features and enhance user experiences throughout the investment journey.

• Foster technical excellence through architecture, code reviews, adherence to best practices, and ongoing improvements.

• Establish effective development workflows and maintain high standards of software quality.

• Assist in recruitment efforts and contribute to the growth of the Engineering team.

• Manage the entire process from defining business needs within a cross-functional team to overseeing production responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of experience in developing and managing cloud-based web applications, preferably on AWS.

• Strong practical knowledge of Java, REST APIs, and contemporary SPA frameworks such as Angular.

• Experience in providing technical and leadership guidance to Engineering teams.

• Hands-on experience with agile methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban.

• Proficiency in Jira and Confluence.

• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, paired with a structured and solution-focused mindset.

• High initiative, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for teamwork.

• A degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Media Informatics, or a comparable qualification.

• In-depth understanding of brokerage products, securities trading, and investment processes, particularly in the neo-broker sector.

• A passion for technology, digital products, and modern investment experiences.

• Excellent command of both German and English.
