This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
β’ Supervise a team of Project Managers and Project Coordinators who are involved in electrical substation, transmission line, and studies projects throughout the stages of development, engineering, and construction support.
β’ Plan and monitor the progress of ongoing engineering projects, with a focus on financial performance.
β’ Direct and support Project Managers, Associate Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Project Coordinators.
β’ Review, create, and oversee engineering schedules, budgets, project scope, and subcontractor activities.
β’ Manage project-related documentation, including records for internal and external stakeholders, as well as project financing.
β’ Lead client project status meetings, providing updates on schedules, responding to requests for information, and reporting on engineering progress.
β’ Ensure project quality control and customer satisfaction by overseeing and coordinating engineering deliverables.
β’ Collaborate with EPC contractors, subconsultants, electric utilities, and clients to ensure contract compliance and timely deliverables.
β’ Oversee internal client service teams to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
β’ Assist with permitting and jurisdictional approval processes.
β’ Support business development initiatives, marketing tasks, and the preparation of proposals.
β’ Review customer specifications and assist in developing and communicating the commercial strategy.
β’ Manage utility interconnection processes along with the associated construction project documentation.
β’ Establish and nurture relationships between the company and clients.
β’ Mentor, coach, and develop team members.
β’ A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a project management capacity is required.
β’ An undergraduate degree in engineering, project management, construction management, or a related field.
β’ Strong skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, CPM scheduling, and Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.
β’ Excellent communication and presentation abilities, both written and verbal.
β’ Exceptional interpersonal skills that enable effective and composed communication among all parties during high-pressure situations.
β’ Strong organizational capabilities demonstrated through clear project plans and executive-level reporting.
β’ Ability to lift 25 lbs.
β’ Typical travel requirements range from 10% to 25%.
β’ Familiarity with electrical substations, transmission lines, medium voltage collection and distribution, PV engineering, and battery storage is advantageous.
β’ Project Management Institute PMP certification is preferred.
