Team Lead, Engineering

📋 Description

• Oversee daily operations and ensure successful delivery outcomes for a diverse software development team.

• Implement technical projects and efficiently allocate engineering resources.

• Establish, execute, and enhance best practices in the Software Development Lifecycle.

• Monitor and report on engineering performance metrics such as quality, velocity, productivity, and delivery reliability.

• Align team priorities and resources with stakeholders in the Business Unit.

• Provide functional oversight, offer performance feedback, and conduct formal performance evaluations.

• Create training programs and facilitate staff development.

• Participate in the recruitment process and manage the onboarding of software developers and interns.

• Assess team well-being, skills, and depth of knowledge.

• Design and develop software applications based on both business and technical specifications.

• Create and implement unit, component, and integration tests.

• Maintain coding standards and ensure test coverage goals are met.

• Investigate technical challenges and delivery risks.

• Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to shape solution design and technical direction.

• Contribute to both technical and end-user product documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software development.

• Demonstrated leadership skills in managing technical teams, including both onshore and offshore multidisciplinary teams.

• Familiarity with a range of software development languages.

• Experience with service-oriented architecture and design principles.

• Knowledge of relational and non-relational database design.

• Strong communication abilities, capable of effective interaction at all organizational levels.

• Highly self-motivated, responsible, and detail-oriented.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
