Team Lead, Design

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Define and oversee the creative direction from a design standpoint, ensuring visual identity, design systems, and consistency throughout campaigns.

• Manage projects and distribute design tasks within the team, effectively balancing priorities and deadlines.

• Collaborate with fellow designers on both print and digital design initiatives.

• Develop and sustain design systems and reusable components, such as Figma libraries, templates, and style guides.

• Lead, mentor, and coach a small design team while remaining actively involved in daily design tasks.

• Oversee the workload of a small international design team and promote design excellence across print and digital projects.

• Implement AI-driven methodologies to facilitate scalable and efficient design workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in creative direction or design leadership.

• Strong project management abilities — capable of assigning, tracking, and prioritizing design tasks within a team.

• Expertise in Figma, with a focus on design systems and component libraries.

• Background in working with both print and digital design.

• Proficient in incorporating AI tools into the design process.

• Ability to effectively collaborate across different time zones; availability during Eastern time zone preferred.

• Highly organized — adept at managing multiple ongoing projects without losing focus.

• Creative mindset with a distinct perspective on visual direction.

• Comfortable operating within and evolving established design systems rather than starting anew each time.

• Strong collaborator, particularly across time zones and with non-design colleagues.
