Digital Product Designer – UI, Design Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iceland, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Create top-notch interfaces for applications, websites, and various digital tools, from initial concepts through to final user interfaces.

• Convert insights from users, products, and businesses into clear, intuitive, and visually appealing solutions.

• Implement strong craftsmanship across typography, layout, visual hierarchy, interaction design, and responsive design.

• Contribute to the development and advancement of a multi-brand Design System along with a library of reusable components and patterns.

• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, UX, and other teams throughout the design workflow.

• Work closely with developers to maintain design integrity during implementation.

• Assist in elevating the standard of UI and visual design across digital products, brands, and channels.

• Investigate how AI and innovative design tools can enhance ideation, prototyping, and improve workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience in Digital Product Design, UI/UX Design, or a related role, typically acquired over 7+ years.

• Outstanding UI and visual design abilities, evidenced by a strong portfolio showcasing refined digital interfaces.

• Familiarity with the complete product design process and user flows, merging strong UI skills with robust UX thinking.

• Practical experience in building, utilizing, or enhancing Design Systems, along with reusable components and patterns.

• Proficient in Figma and possess a solid understanding of responsive design principles.

• Confidence in presenting your work and articulating the rationale behind your design choices.

• A proactive attitude with a sense of ownership; able to take initiative, explore concepts, and drive progress.

• Interest in AI and cutting-edge design tools, with a willingness to explore how they can enhance the design process.

• Professional working proficiency in English.

• Experience with complex digital products, such as B2B platforms or professional tools, is a plus.

• Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design, especially in a healthcare setting, is advantageous.

• Skills in prototyping, motion, and interaction design are considered valuable assets.
