Teaching and Learning Strategist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide vision and oversight for online faculty development at National University and its affiliates.

• Design, implement, and evaluate comprehensive faculty development and educational collaboration programs.

• Collaborate with faculty, administrators, and staff on pedagogy, technology integration, and professional development.

• Lead faculty in the creation and application of pedagogical techniques and instructional strategies.

• Develop and facilitate workshops, seminars, webinars, training programs, eLearning modules, and events.

• Create instructional materials, including online courses, job aids, videos, lesson plans, course checklists, and facilitation guides.

• Develop learning technology guides, job aids, videos, and training opportunities for students.

• Curate and share professional resources and articles with faculty.

• Conduct marketing and outreach through email invitations, website registrations, and LMS messages.

• Create communication strategies and email campaigns that highlight best practices, research findings, case studies, and trends.

• Plan, direct, and manage faculty development projects and events.

• Support university-wide initiatives related to teaching, learning, technology, and student success.

• Promote innovation, collaboration, and teaching excellence.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Adult Literacy, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field is required.

• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in developing and facilitating training and/or professional development in higher education or corporate settings is required.

• Experience teaching at a post-secondary level is required.

• At least two (2) years of experience with online course creation and hosting platforms such as Brightspace D2L, Blackboard, Canvas, or Moodle.

• Strong project management capabilities.

• Knowledge and experience in adult education within academic and training environments.

• Familiarity with instructional design and technology principles, processes, and best practices.

• Awareness of current research, learning theory, best practices, and standards of excellence in professional development and education.

• Ability to plan and facilitate interactive synchronous and asynchronous training sessions and webinars.

• Expertise in digital literacy and fluency.

• Capability to provide technical guidance and leadership in eLearning technologies, online pedagogy, and skill development.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• Solid understanding of internet terms, technologies, and protocols.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within diverse teams.

• Limited travel may be required.
