πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Create and implement QA and UAT test scenarios and test cases, encompassing functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, dress rehearsal, and production-validation testing.

β€’ Leverage tax reporting expertise to comprehend anticipated processing outcomes, pinpoint suitable test scenarios, and assess system performance.

β€’ Analyze business, functional, and tax reporting requirements, translating them into thorough testing scenarios and expected outcomes.

β€’ Identify necessary test populations, test data, expected outcomes, dependencies, prerequisite processing, and testing coverage.

β€’ Verify comprehensive tax data processing from transaction/history data through core tables, business rule processing, tax form box calculations, and final reporting results.

β€’ Conduct meticulous data validation and reconciliation to uncover discrepancies between source/history data, processed data, expected outcomes, and tax reporting results.

β€’ Utilize SQL and Excel to investigate data, create test populations, validate outcomes, reconcile extensive datasets, and examine testing discrepancies.

β€’ Confirm source-to-target mappings, file layouts, data transformations, calculations, tax business rules, reference data, and system configurations.

β€’ Validate tax forms and reporting outputs against source data, expected outcomes, documented requirements, and relevant tax reporting regulations.

β€’ Perform positive, negative, boundary, exception, and regression testing.

β€’ Identify and document defects in JIRA with precise reproduction steps, supporting data, expected outcomes, and actual results.

β€’ Manage defects through analysis, resolution, retesting, regression testing, and closure.

β€’ Collaborate with Development, Product, Operations, QA, UAT, and Tax teams to investigate and rectify tax reporting, testing, and data discrepancies.

β€’ Track test execution, defects, blockers, dependencies, and outstanding items until resolution.

β€’ Maintain test cases, test evidence, reconciliation results, defect documentation, and supporting materials required for implementation and production readiness.

β€’ Assist with annual tax-year changes, regulatory updates, system migrations, conversions, dress rehearsals, and production implementations.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Over 5 years of experience in tax reporting, QA/UAT testing, tax data analysis, operations testing, or a similar position in financial services.

β€’ Extensive hands-on experience with QA and UAT testing, including functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, system validation, and production validation testing.

β€’ Proven experience in developing and executing detailed test scenarios, test cases, test data, and expected outcomes.

β€’ Experience in conducting end-to-end tax data testing across transaction/history data, core processing tables, tax form box calculations, and final reporting outputs.

β€’ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience handling large datasets, reconciliations, exception analysis, and root-cause investigations.

β€’ Proficient in SQL and Microsoft Excel.

β€’ Significant hands-on experience with JIRA is essential.

β€’ Experience in validating source-to-target mappings, data transformations, calculations, business rules, file layouts, reference data, and system configurations.

β€’ Extensive experience in identifying, documenting, tracking, retesting, and closing defects.

β€’ Background in working with or testing tax reporting systems or tax data platforms is highly preferred.

β€’ Experience with tax information reporting, including Forms 5498, 5498-ESA, 1042-S, and 1099 reporting, is highly preferred.

β€’ Familiarity with retirement reporting, NRA reporting, income reporting, withholding, brokerage transactions, and securities processing is preferred.

β€’ Experience in brokerage, wealth management, banking, securities processing, asset servicing, or financial reporting environments.

β€’ Demonstrated experience with large-volume data reconciliation and comparison testing.

β€’ Capability to independently manage assigned QA/UAT testing activities, reconciliations, defects, and test evidence through to completion.

β€’ Ability to handle multiple simultaneous testing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

β€’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail.

β€’ Familiarity with Agile or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
