Quality Assurance Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Uruguay.

📋 Description

• Convert business requirements into comprehensive test plans while identifying potential risks and gaps.

• Evaluate new features, system processes, and integrations through exploratory, regression, and end-to-end testing methodologies.

• Utilize AI and automation techniques to enhance test design, debugging, and coverage efficiency.

• Develop, maintain, and optimize automated test suites within CI/CD workflows.

• Confirm the functionality of integrations, APIs, webhooks, event-driven workflows, and external connections.

• Review and validate data using SQL backend queries and perform system-level checks.

• Execute performance, load, and reliability testing to guarantee stable system operations.

• Analyze logs, telemetry, and production data to detect quality deficiencies and recommend enhancements.

• Work collaboratively across teams to clarify requirements and ensure that solutions are fully testable.

• Enhance QA practices by integrating AI and modern testing methodologies while balancing manual and automated efforts.

• Play a role in developing the automation roadmap and propose process improvements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Recent hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing is essential.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in software quality engineering is required.

• At least 3 years of experience working with multi-tenant applications is necessary.

• Practical experience in creating UI automated tests using Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium is required.

• Experience in building integration automated tests utilizing Postman, Bruno, or Insomnia is essential.

• Proven experience in testing and validating REST APIs is necessary.

• Familiarity with shipping, logistics, or eCommerce platforms is preferred.

• Knowledge of testing AI systems and using AI for test automation is preferred.

• Exposure to load and performance testing frameworks like JMeter or Gatling is advantageous.

• ISTQB certification or equivalent qualification is preferred.
