Tax & Compliance Accountant – Chile

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Chile.

📋 Description

• Oversee the global tax and compliance calendar, ensuring due dates, dependencies, responsible parties, extensions, payments, and filing statuses are meticulously tracked.

• Prepare and structure workpapers, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for external tax, statutory, and compliance advisors.

• Aid in federal, state, local, and international income tax compliance, along with indirect tax, property tax, information reporting, and other business filings.

• Examine and document intercompany charges, allocations, management fees, royalties, loans, interest, and other cross-entity transactions.

• Reconcile intercompany due-to/due-from balances, investigate discrepancies, coordinate confirmations, and prepare settlement schedules.

• Maintain documentation for transfer pricing and provide schedules and transaction-level support for studies, tax returns, and audits.

• Identify transactions that require withholding, documentation, or reporting, and collaborate with the Director and external advisors on conclusions.

• Prepare recurring tax-related journal entries and account reconciliations; assist in tax provisions, tax account rollforwards, and closing requirements.

• Address information requests from tax authorities, statutory auditors, and internal or external auditors; maintain records that are audit-ready.

• Document procedures, enhance review controls, and standardize compliance and intercompany processes.

• Convert compliance requirements into clear requests and timelines for Accounting, FP&A, Payroll, Legal, and local teams.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field is required.

• Three to five years of progressive experience in tax accounting, corporate accounting, or public accounting.

• Proficiency in English.

• Familiarity with income tax compliance, account reconciliations, intercompany accounting, and general ledger processes; international exposure is strongly preferred.

• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems and large datasets.

• Capability to manage multiple deadlines, consistently follow up, and maintain accurate supporting documentation.

• CPA, EA, Master's degree in Taxation, or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.

• Experience in a multi-entity environment is preferred.
