This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.
• Oversee the global tax and compliance calendar, monitoring due dates, dependencies, responsible parties, extensions, payments, and filing statuses.
• Prepare and arrange workpapers, reconciliations, and supporting documentation for external tax, statutory, and compliance advisors.
• Assist with compliance for federal, state, local, and international income taxes, indirect taxes, property taxes, information reporting, and other business filings.
• Review and document intercompany charges, allocations, management fees, royalties, loans, interest, and other cross-entity transactions.
• Reconcile intercompany due-to/due-from balances, investigate discrepancies, coordinate confirmations, and generate settlement schedules.
• Maintain transfer pricing documentation and provide transaction-level support and schedules.
• Identify transactions that necessitate withholding, documentation, or reporting, and coordinate technical resolutions.
• Prepare recurring tax-related journal entries and account reconciliations; assist with tax provisions, rollforwards, and closing requirements.
• Address information requests from tax authorities and auditors, maintaining records that are ready for audits.
• Document procedures, enhance review controls, and standardize compliance and intercompany processes.
• Convert compliance requirements into clear requests and timelines for cross-functional and local teams.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field is required.
• Three to five years of progressive experience in tax accounting, corporate accounting, or public accounting.
• Proficiency in English.
• A working understanding of income tax compliance, account reconciliations, intercompany accounting, and general ledger processes; international experience is highly preferred.
• Strong skills in Excel and experience with ERP systems and large datasets.
• Capability to manage multiple deadlines, follow up diligently, and maintain precise supporting documentation.
• CPA, EA, a Master’s degree in Taxation, or an equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
• Experience in a multi-entity environment is preferred.
• Fully remote work.
• The flexibility to reside anywhere in Spain.
