Talent Acquisition Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Utilize diverse search techniques to cultivate a strong candidate pipeline.

• Evaluate candidates by analyzing resumes and job applications, alongside conducting phone interviews.

• Create and oversee job postings, job descriptions, and position specifications.

• Identify and execute efficient and effective recruitment strategies and methods.

• Provide expert recommendations to streamline the onboarding and new hire process.

• Keep updated on recruitment trends and best practices.

• Assist in managing the complete interview, selection, and closing procedures.

• Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations throughout the screening, hiring, and selection processes.

• Collaborate with hiring managers and/or the People & Culture team during the offer negotiation process.

• Suggest salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other relevant offer details.

• Organize and lead participation in recruiting and career fairs.

• Partner with Sciens marketing to create branded signage and various event materials.

• Maintain relationships with external recruiting agencies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.

• Two to five years of experience in recruiting.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Proven ability to build effective and collaborative working relationships based on trust.

• Experience in organizing career fairs and successfully attracting top talent.

• Exceptional organizational and time management capabilities.

• Confidence in making independent decisions.

• Familiarity with applicant tracking and HRIS systems.

• Ability to manage a diverse range of relationships with various stakeholders.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Knowledge of interview techniques and candidate screening methods.

• Comprehensive understanding of employment laws and regulations across multiple states.

• Acquainted with a broad array of sourcing channels.

• Willingness to travel occasionally by air and/or ground overnight, as required.
