This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Conduct regular outreach, host events, and engage in sourcing efforts within designated Indigenous communities.
• Monitor outreach activities and identify trends in talent acquisition as well as employment challenges.
• Establish and nurture respectful relationships with Indigenous communities, organizations, employment and training programs, educational institutions, and community partners throughout Canada.
• Identify and pre-screen candidates through community networks, events, and referrals.
• Assist candidates throughout the application process.
• Distribute job postings and promotional materials through community job boards, band offices, and social media using straightforward, culturally sensitive language.
• Enhance referral networks with Claims Helpers and Co-Leads.
• Keep referral sources updated and provide regular reports on outreach efforts, talent pipeline, and hiring outcomes.
• Develop and maintain a candidate database to address current and future hiring requirements.
• Support high-volume recruitment initiatives and the workforce needs of emerging projects.
• Adhere to health and safety policies, maintain open communication, and promote ongoing risk and injury prevention.
• 2–4 years of experience in sourcing, talent acquisition, employment services, or community engagement.
• Post-secondary diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business, Indigenous Studies, Social Services, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and personal experience.
• Familiarity with the histories, cultures, and lived experiences of Indigenous communities.
• Capacity to engage respectfully with First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples and their organizations.
• Strong skills in relationship-building, communication, and active listening.
• Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple recruitment priorities in a dynamic, project-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in applicant tracking systems, virtual engagement tools, Microsoft Office, and social media platforms.
• Fluency in French is considered an asset.
• Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check is required for employment.
