This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Facilitate ongoing outreach, events, and recruitment efforts in designated Indigenous communities.
• Monitor outreach initiatives, recognize talent trends, and pinpoint employment obstacles.
• Establish and uphold respectful connections with Indigenous communities, organizations, employment and training programs, educational institutions, and community partners throughout Canada.
• Identify and pre-screen candidates through community networks, events, and referrals.
• Assist candidates during the application process.
• Distribute job postings and announcements via community job boards, band offices, and social media, utilizing clear and culturally sensitive language.
• Enhance referral networks with Claims Helpers and Co-Leads.
• Keep referral sources updated and provide regular reports on outreach efforts, candidate pipelines, and hiring outcomes.
• Create and maintain a candidate database to address current and future recruitment needs.
• Support high-volume hiring initiatives and evolving project workforce demands.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines, maintain open communication, and foster continuous risk and injury prevention efforts.
• 2-4 years of experience in sourcing, talent acquisition, employment services, or community engagement.
• A post-secondary diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business, Indigenous Studies, Social Services, or a related discipline, or a comparable combination of education and lived experience.
• Understanding of the histories, cultures, and lived experiences of Indigenous communities.
• Capability to engage respectfully with First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples and organizations.
• Excellent relationship-building, communication, and active listening abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and the capacity to handle multiple recruitment priorities in a dynamic, project-oriented environment.
• Proficient in applicant tracking systems, virtual engagement tools, Microsoft Office, and social media channels.
• Fluency in French is considered an asset.
• Must complete a Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check as a condition of employment.
