This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee the recruitment process, which includes reviewing and advertising job openings across various platforms, assisting with resume evaluations, conducting reference checks, and preparing job offers.
• Stay actively engaged with job boards, social media, and other channels to identify quality candidates.
• Ensure complete and precise staffing documentation in compliance with legal requirements.
• Monitor job postings and vendor-related expenses, ensuring timely distribution of invoices as necessary.
• Organize and maintain recruiting documents, templates, and records, guaranteeing data and documentation integrity for easy reference and retrieval.
• Kick off the onboarding process and monitor the completion of offer letter approvals, policy acknowledgments, criminal background check results, and payroll documentation.
• Assist with onboarding projects for new hires and support territorial orientation initiatives.
• Conduct operational and situational analyses and devise recommendations and documentation to enhance administrative and communication processes.
• Engage in designated HR projects, such as ATS implementation, development of the HR Orientation Program, and digitization of employee files.
• Deliver reports to Talent Acquisition leadership on metrics, track trends, and identify areas for enhancement.
• Completion of a post-secondary education program lasting 2 years, ideally in Human Resources or Business Administration.
• 2-5 years of experience in an HR/Talent Acquisition Coordinator role or a senior administrative position.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a focus on process improvement.
• Strong organizational capabilities with the ability to prioritize competing tasks.
• Self-motivated with the capability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated sound judgment and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and diplomacy.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to operate within the framework of and support the Mission of The Salvation Army.
• Experience with the Workday Applicant Tracking System will be considered an advantage.
