Systems Requirements Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Draft, revise, and uphold technical specifications for the Infotainment subsystem and, as relevant, Cabin Thermal & Safety, during all production stages.

• Facilitate requirements gathering through stakeholder interviews and workshops.

• Employ IBM DOORS for managing requirements and ensuring traceability.

• Conduct analysis of system requirements utilizing established engineering practices.

• Collaborate on the design and development of infotainment hardware and software solutions.

• Assist in system modeling and architectural tasks.

• Serve as the primary liaison between Design & Release Engineers (DREs) and System Architects.

• Work collaboratively with cross-disciplinary engineering teams to guarantee seamless hardware-software integration.

• Identify, evaluate, and resolve failures within hardware and software systems.

• Utilize diagnostic tools to uncover and tackle technical challenges.

• Manage workflows, tasks, and issue tracking using IBM Engineering Workflow Management (RTC) and JIRA.

• Contribute to the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for infotainment components.

• Execute comprehensive testing to ensure system functionality and dependability.

• Conduct DFMEA to identify and mitigate potential design hazards.

• Create and maintain thorough documentation of diagnosed problems, implemented solutions, and established specifications.

• Prepare and revise technical documents, including specifications and reports.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Engineering Degree in relevant fields such as Mechatronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or Telecommunications Engineering.

• Requirements Engineering: Intermediate level (8 years of experience in defining, managing, and eliciting requirements).

• Requirements Management with IBM DOORS: Intermediate level (8 years of experience).

• Workflow Control using IBM Engineering Workflow Management (RTC): Intermediate level (5 years of experience).

• Issue Tracking with JIRA: Intermediate level (6 years of experience).

• Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC): Intermediate level (8 years of experience).

• Diagnostics and Troubleshooting (HW/SW): Intermediate level (8 years of experience).

• Systems Engineering Methodologies: Intermediate level (8 years of experience).

• Vehicle Communication Protocols (CAN, LIN): Intermediate level (8 years of experience).

• Embedded Systems Knowledge: Intermediate level (8 years of experience).

• DFMEA Analysis: Basic to Intermediate level (8 years of experience).

• Design for Six Sigma (DFSS): Basic to Intermediate level (8 years of experience).

• CATIA V5: Basic level (2-4 years of experience in model visualization or review).

• Familiarity with Apple CarPlay / Android Auto: Intermediate level (4 years of experience in integration or validation).

• Programming Languages (Python, C/C++): Basic level (4 years of experience in scripting or automation).

• Understanding of Vehicle Safety Regulations: Basic level (4 years of experience).
