Senior DNS Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Develop control plane software for the DNS Products team.

• Create APIs while diagnosing issues and enhancing customer experience.

• Empower the team to manage product offerings comprehensively.

• Design, test, and refine new services and tools that operate at scale and address performance and monitoring challenges.

• Work in conjunction with Networking teams to innovate next-generation products and services for the developer community.

• Maintain existing products and offer inventive solutions to address challenges.

• Enhance tools and processes to deliver robust, mission-critical ecosystem components.

• Set best practices for development and architecture.

• Utilize technologies such as Go, Consul, Kafka, SQL, Chef, Git, Jira, gRPC, Prometheus, Grafana, Lightstep, Docker, DNS, and Kubernetes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in designing and developing full-stack applications that include databases and APIs.

• Demonstrated ability to lead collaborative efforts across multiple teams to establish API contracts.

• Proficient in deploying and managing Linux (Ubuntu) based virtual and bare metal hosts.

• Familiarity with the Go programming language and unit testing practices.

• Some experience in designing and developing high-performance systems.

• Basic knowledge of the DNS and Networking stack, or a strong eagerness to learn.

• Experience in cloud development, containerization, and virtualization.

• Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD) processes.

• B.S/M.S in Computer Science or equivalent relevant experience.

• Bonus: Experience with gRPC for creating resilient distributed systems under high demand.

• Bonus: Familiarity with Temporal and Kafka.
