Systems & Integration Engineering Expert

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Utilize systems, integration, reliability, and test engineering knowledge to tackle intricate challenges associated with physical products and hardware systems.

• Examine and assess system requirements, interfaces, integration plans, verification strategies, testing procedures, qualification methods, reliability evaluations, and manufacturing testing workflows.

• Evaluate system-level interactions across electrical, mechanical, firmware/software, thermal, controls, and manufacturing sectors.

• Analyze the technical accuracy and practical viability of engineering solutions, testing strategies, troubleshooting methods, and system-level choices.

• Identify integration failures and ascertain root causes, interface problems, design shortcomings, reliability threats, manufacturing flaws, and gaps in testing coverage.

• Create or assess engineering issues, reference solutions, testing cases, verification standards, failure evaluations, and technical documentation.

• Leverage experience in prototype integration, bring-up, verification and validation, qualification, environmental assessments, reliability testing, production testing, and field failure investigations.

• Offer clear technical insights based on real-world hardware development, testing, and production experience.

• Contribute to enhancing how advanced AI systems understand complex systems, interfaces, verification and validation, troubleshooting, reliability, manufacturing, and hardware failures.

• Collaborate remotely with seasoned engineers and researchers on AI research initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in systems, integration, reliability, or test engineering.

• At least 3 years of recent hands-on experience with hardware integration, testing, validation, qualification, failure analysis, manufacturing testing, or troubleshooting.

• Proven experience as the lead engineer for complex physical systems or hardware products.

• Skilled in managing lifecycle activities from requirements and interface definition through integration, verification, qualification, production readiness, and field support.

• Extensive technical knowledge in systems engineering and requirements/V&V, hardware integration and testing, reliability engineering and failure analysis, or manufacturing/production testing.

• Strong practical understanding of requirements traceability, interface management, verification and validation, test planning, FMEA/FMECA, fault isolation, root cause analysis, reliability, qualification, environmental testing, design-for-test, manufacturing yield, and system-level failure modes.

• Hands-on experience with integrating, instrumenting, testing, debugging, and characterizing physical hardware.

• Familiarity with laboratory equipment, data acquisition systems, automated testing infrastructure, environmental test equipment, diagnostic tools, and structured failure analysis techniques.

• Demonstrated success in developing and validating hardware in real-world product or manufacturing settings.

• Ability to articulate system decisions, integration trade-offs, testing results, root causes, and failure mechanisms.
