Systems Engineer – VeloCloud SD-WAN, SD-Branch

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Dakota, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Serve as the dedicated technical Systems Engineer for assigned MSP/SP accounts.

• Cultivate relationships with technical, operational, and executive stakeholders.

• Assist partners in designing, packaging, launching, expanding, and operationalizing VeloCloud SD-WAN and SD-Branch managed services.

• Create and deliver enablement programs for sales, marketing, operations, NOC/support, and product management teams.

• Integrate VeloCloud SD-Branch with OSS/BSS systems, service assurance platforms, and delivery workflows.

• Guide the utilization of VeloCloud REST APIs, log and metric exports, and multi-tenant orchestration.

• Collaborate with MSP/SP sales teams through technical presentations, demonstrations, and workshops.

• Lead the solution design process, RFx technical responses, and Proofs of Concept.

• Work together on managed services utilizing Arista campus switching, wireless, and security products.

• Relay MSP/SP channel feedback to Arista Product Management and Engineering teams.

• Represent Arista at industry events, MSP forums, partner-led customer events, and conferences.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.

• Over 5 years of experience in WAN, networking, or cloud services.

• Experience in Service Provider or Managed Service Provider environments.

• Proficient understanding of BGP, OSPF, WAN technologies, and SD-WAN.

• Experience with pre-sales activities, technical presentations, solution design, and Proofs of Concept.

• Capability to establish enduring relationships across technical operations, product management, sales, and executive stakeholders.

• Strong communication, listening, and presentation skills.

• Familiarity with Linux, hypervisors, cloud computing, and operational tools for logs, metrics, events, and alerting.

• Knowledge of REST APIs, Python, and Ansible is advantageous.

• Understanding of MPLS VPN and Segment Routing.

• Experience in co-developing or enabling managed service offerings is a significant advantage.

• Network Industry Certification is preferred.
