Senior Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Collaborate and communicate effectively with the product development team and stakeholders.

• Design, implement, and manage a Kubernetes platform utilizing Cluster API for both bare-metal and cloud service providers.

• Establish and maintain infrastructure for both production and staging environments.

• Design, implement, and manage GitLab CI pipelines, GitOps, and Infrastructure as Code practices.

• Respond to monitoring events, which includes periodic on-call responsibilities during the day and night.

• Enhance infrastructure maintenance and support processes for improved efficiency.

• Engage in the design of intricate IT systems.

• Construct, maintain, and advance a reliable infrastructure for the Sportsbook platform, enabling clients to launch and manage online sports betting operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience as a System Engineer, SRE, DevOps, or Platform Engineer.

• Profound knowledge of Linux-like operating systems, including administration and troubleshooting skills.

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and OCI.

• Experience with bare-metal infrastructure and a variety of hosting providers.

• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Pulumi, and Crossplane.

• Knowledge of GitOps methodologies (Flux, ArgoCD).

• Experience in setting up and maintaining GitLab/GitHub CI/CD pipelines.

• Proficiency with configuration management systems, including Ansible and Saltstack.

• Knowledge of CDN, traffic, and domain management tools (CloudFlare, Fastly, Akamai, AWS CloudFront/Route53).

• Experience with monitoring systems such as Prometheus, Grafana, or similar tools.

• Practical experience with PostgreSQL clusters (Patroni, CNPG).

• Hands-on experience with Kafka management (Kafka, Strimzi).

• Proficiency in English and Russian at a B1+ level (Intermediate+).

• Familiarity with Cluster API (CAPI) and fleet controllers (Sveltos, Fleet) is considered a plus.

• Experience with Oracle OCI is also regarded as a nice-to-have.

• Understanding of distributed systems is preferred as an additional asset.

• Programming skills in Bash, Python, or Go are desirable as a nice-to-have.

• Experience working within Agile methodologies (Kanban, Scrum) is an advantage.

• Demonstrated capability to utilize AI-powered tools and platforms to optimize workflows is preferred.
