Systems Engineer – TS/SCI w/ Poly

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Manage Dataflow Management Requests (DMRs) and implement effective dataflow solutions.

• Design and oversee dataflows utilizing Apache NiFi.

• Administer and support operational systems that handle and maintain mission data.

• Assist in modernizing dataflow processes, including transitioning from hardware-based systems to virtual cloud environments.

• Assess current dataflows, create requirements, and collaborate with operations teams to rebuild flows.

• Produce system architecture diagrams illustrating software and system functionalities.

• Address analytical requirements and mission objectives.

• Provide on-call support following approximately six (6) months of on-the-job training.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of ten (10) years of experience as a Systems Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Five (5) years of additional Systems Engineering experience may be considered in place of a bachelor’s degree.

• An active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is mandatory.

• At least four (4) years of experience in the Intelligence Community working with mission systems that process and manage mission data.

• Knowledge of mission data formats.

• Proficiency with the Linux operating system CLI for managing software configurations and performing upgrades.

• Understanding of Dataflow Management Requests (DMRs).

• Experience with Apache NiFi functionalities for managing or constructing dataflows.

• Capability to manage analytical needs and requirements.

• Proven experience in creating system architecture diagrams that depict software and system operations.

• Familiarity with Zookeeper, Elasticsearch, Grafana, and NiFi Registry.

• Ability to provide on-call support after approximately six (6) months of on-the-job training.
