This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the design, execution, and upkeep of intricate infrastructure systems and Azure cloud environments.
• Act as the principal technical authority for future-oriented computer systems, network infrastructure, and cloud environments.
• Lead the assessment and resolution of intricate technical challenges and escalated support issues pertaining to core infrastructure.
• Take ownership of the architecture and strategic vision for Active Directory, Entra ID, M365, and related policies and controls.
• Manage and maintain the Egnyte content platform infrastructure, which includes storage architecture, permission models, and integrations.
• Create and implement proactive monitoring strategies and spearhead remediation efforts.
• Develop, own, and sustain infrastructure systems engineering policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Monitor the security posture of infrastructure, respond to incidents, and suggest enhancements for infrastructure resilience.
• Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and audits of infrastructure systems.
• Mentor and provide technical support to Systems Engineer I/II personnel.
• Lead evaluations of vendors and tools, offering recommendations on build versus buy options.
• Propel automation initiatives to minimize manual tasks and enhance operational efficiency.
• Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for infrastructure performance and future capacity needs.
• Offer insights on emerging technologies, especially within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
• Contribute to infrastructure budget and capacity planning efforts.
• Collaborate with technical colleagues across IT to resolve system issues and meet organizational objectives.
• Execute other assigned tasks and responsibilities.
• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Over 7 years of pertinent experience in Azure infrastructure, M365, networking, and server and storage management.
• Capability to analyze complex, ambiguous infrastructure issues, identify root causes, and devise effective long-term solutions.
• Expert-level knowledge in Azure-native infrastructure, server/workstation operating systems, and infrastructure tools.
• Extensive understanding of systems engineering principles: architecture, design, testing, integration, optimization, troubleshooting, and monitoring.
• Comprehensive expertise in servers, storage, networking, virtualization, cloud infrastructure, identity management, and application infrastructure.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to lead technical projects and mentor junior team members.
• Initiative, sound judgment, and capacity to work independently under pressure in a dynamic environment.
• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and documentation abilities.
• Experience managing enterprise content management/file sharing platforms (e.g., Egnyte), including permissions, folder structures, and data governance protocols.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) preferred.
• Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300) preferred.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700) preferred.
