This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Participate in a dynamic, cross-functional agile team.
• Collaborate closely with a mentor while adhering to Collins Aerospace engineering methodologies.
• Develop, break down, and trace requirements for communication systems utilized in military air and ground platforms.
• Utilize model-based systems engineering tools to produce logical and physical design diagrams.
• Conduct integration and testing of communication solutions.
• Assist in future bids and proposals to create new business prospects.
• Work alongside systems engineering specialists, security and crypto certification experts, clients, and engineering teams.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of advanced communication solutions that support national defense and strategic nuclear deterrence.
• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related area.
• Active U.S. government-issued DoD Top Secret SCI (TS/SCI) security clearance is mandatory.
• U.S. citizenship is a requirement.
• Proficiency in Model Based Systems Engineering concepts and tools such as Magic Draw Cameo, Enterprise Architect, or similar applications using SysML.
• Experience in the development of software and system requirements.
• Capability to define requirement specifications and functional requirements.
• Skill in modeling and simulation for system analysis.
• Experience in system testing and validation processes.
• Competence in software validation methodologies.
• Familiarity with Linux operating environments.
• Background in Root Cause and Corrective Action Analysis.
• Understanding of the AS9100 Certification Audit process.
• Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall development methodologies.
• Strong grasp of risk management practices.
• Experience with document management practices.
• Proficiency in Atlassian tools, including Confluence and Jira.
• Excellent oral communication skills.
• Preferred: experience in developing, breaking down, and deriving system/sub-system requirements.
• Preferred: experience in defining system/sub-system design.
• Preferred: familiarity with system architecture development.
• Preferred: exposure to test automation frameworks or scripting.
• Preferred: experience integrating requirements across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Preferred: understanding of CI/CD pipelines and associated tools.
• Preferred: familiarity with cross-functional engineering processes.
• Preferred: experience contributing to process enhancements or engineering best practices.
