Systems Engineer II – 2nd Shift

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Oversee and react to alerts, events, and notifications from the monitoring system related to infrastructure.

• Investigate, resolve, document, and communicate incidents for both internal and client needs within established SLA targets.

• Deliver managed services infrastructure support to both internal teams and external clients.

• Act as a vital liaison between iT1 and its customers.

• Function as a technical escalation resource for other support teams.

• Engage in major incident response, conduct root cause analysis, and participate in change management activities.

• Keep diagrams, documentation, procedures, and asset information up to date.

• Employ PowerShell and automation tools as necessary to enhance operational efficiency.

• Guide junior engineers and spearhead technical troubleshooting initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in infrastructure, systems, and networking.

• Preferred 3-5 years of experience in managed services support.

• Familiarity with supporting Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, and virtualization technologies.

• Experience managing alerts through escalation, resolution, and documentation processes.

• Intermediate skills in network troubleshooting and configuration (Meraki, Cisco, VPNs, switching, routing, wireless, firewalls).

• Intermediate proficiency in troubleshooting Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft 365.

• Intermediate-level administration of Azure, including virtual machines, storage, networking, backup, monitoring, and identity services.

• Support experience with VMware vSphere and/or Hyper-V environments.

• Preference for experience with LogicMonitor, NinjaOne, ConnectWise PSA, IT Glue, or similar platforms.

• Preference for experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Azure Backup, and Azure Site Recovery.

• Preferred experience in PowerShell scripting and automation.

• Strong customer service, documentation, organization, and prioritization skills are preferred.

• Ability to mentor junior engineers and lead technical troubleshooting efforts is preferred.

• Preferred certifications include Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), and VMware or Microsoft 365 Certifications.
