This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and manage user accounts, security access, and permissions for client workgroups and domains.
• Stay knowledgeable about client hardware and operating systems.
• Oversee server performance to detect issues and troubleshoot problems.
• Install new server software, implement security patches, update current applications, and remove unnecessary software.
• Perform backups and preventative maintenance for client systems.
• Address user connectivity issues and resolve them within the scope of your role.
• Forward more complex technical issues to the appropriate higher-level engineer.
• Instruct users on how to effectively operate equipment and utilize supported technology.
• Assist with the installation of communications hardware and minor equipment repairs as part of training and development.
• Maintain clear communication with leaders, teammates, and customers.
• Contribute to building strong customer relationships and achieving high levels of satisfaction.
• Execute standard systems administration, server monitoring, maintenance, connectivity support, and customer service.
• Report directly to the Supervisor, NOC.
• Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST.
• An associate degree is required.
• A minimum of two years of experience in networking or a related technical field.
• A bachelor’s degree in information technology is preferred.
• A+ certification is necessary.
• OEM equipment certifications are required.
• Microsoft certifications are expected.
• Familiarity with ASTEA is important.
• A strong commitment to service quality and process improvement is essential.
• Skills in customer-first communication and relationship-building are crucial.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple responsibilities is necessary.
• Confidence in working independently and collaboratively is required.
• Capability to interpret technical procedures and convey information to diverse audiences is needed.
• Proficient business writing and documentation skills are essential.
• Effective problem-solving abilities are required.
