Systems Engineer I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Develop and manage user accounts, security access, and permissions for client workgroups and domains.

• Stay informed about client hardware and operating systems.

• Monitor server performance to detect issues and troubleshoot them effectively.

• Install new server software, implement security patches, update existing applications, and eliminate unused software.

• Perform backups and preventative maintenance for client systems.

• Address user connectivity issues and resolve them within the scope of the position.

• Escalate complex technical problems to senior engineers.

• Educate users on how to operate equipment and utilize supported technologies effectively.

• Assist with the installation of communication hardware and minor equipment repairs as part of training and development.

• Engage with leaders, teammates, and customers.

• Foster strong customer relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.

• Report to the Supervisor, NOC.

• Work Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST.

⛳️ Requirements

• An associate degree is mandatory.

• A minimum of two years of experience in networking or a related technical field is required.

• A+ certification is essential.

• OEM equipment certifications are preferred.

• Microsoft certifications are a plus.

• Familiarity with ASTEA is beneficial.

• Knowledge of client hardware and operating systems is necessary.

• Capability to create and manage user accounts, security access, and permissions.

• Proficiency in monitoring servers and troubleshooting issues.

• Experience in installing server software, applying security patches, and updating applications.

• Skills in conducting backups and performing preventative maintenance.

• Ability to resolve user connectivity problems.

• Competence in interpreting technical procedures and communicating information to diverse audiences.

• Strong business writing and documentation skills are required.

• Applicants must reside in Mexico.
