Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Take charge of Share's traditional infrastructure foundation, which includes servers, virtualization, firewalls, and operating systems.

• Manage and maintain a robust, carrier-grade production Linux infrastructure.

• Oversee virtualized infrastructure on a large scale.

• Design and safeguard the organization's security perimeter.

• Handle network segmentation, VPNs, intrusion detection, and other associated security controls.

• Work with routing, switching, VLANs, DNS, and load balancing technologies.

• Operate infrastructure within a hyperscaler environment.

• Contribute to the development of Kubernetes-based infrastructure.

• Define, construct, and manage infrastructure and security solutions from inception to production.

• Leverage operational insights to enhance the Systems Engineering department.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in systems engineering.

• Ideally, have experience within a telco, ISP, or carrier-grade network operator.

• Extensive experience in production Linux administration, which includes building, hardening, and managing Linux systems at scale.

• Practical virtualization experience with VMware, KVM, Hyper-V, or similar technologies.

• Proven experience in managing perimeter security, firewalls, network segmentation, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.

• Strong foundation in networking essentials: routing, switching, VLANs, DNS, and load balancing.

• Familiarity with at least one hyperscaler platform: AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Exposure to Kubernetes.

• Experience in building with AI-native workflow tools.

• Capacity to scope, construct, manage, and operate infrastructure or security solutions throughout their lifecycle.
