This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Provide engineering oversight across the complete technical baseline.
• Review and evaluate the prime contractor's systems engineering plans, processes, and artifacts to ensure alignment with Government objectives and best practices.
• Assess and provide technical recommendations on the requirements developed by the contractor for both systems and subsystems.
• Oversee and evaluate contractor-led engineering trade studies, offering independent analyses of alternatives.
• Manage the requirements verification process, which includes V&V plans, TEMP, and RVM.
• Supervise Government oversight of the deficiency reporting process.
• Track and report on system deficiencies until resolution is achieved.
• Assess system architecture, including both external and internal interfaces, scalability, robustness, and compliance with MOSA.
• Monitor system integration activities, identifying risks related to cross-domain hardware, software, and cybersecurity integration.
• Provide risk mitigation strategies to the Government.
• Deliver technical support and recommendations throughout the acquisition lifecycle, including SRR, PDR, CDR, configuration management, and system-level testing.
• Assist with Configuration Control Boards, Engineering Trades, Requirements Verification, Requirements Mapping, and baseline management at the portfolio, system-of-systems, and program levels.
• Ability to obtain or currently possess a Secret Clearance with the capability to acquire Top Secret clearance.
• High School Diploma or a Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline, or a Master's/Doctorate Degree in a relevant field.
• 15 years of directly related experience, including 8 years in the DoD; OR a Bachelor's Degree with 12 years of experience, including 5 years in the DoD; OR a Master's or Doctorate Degree with 10 years of experience, including 5 years in the DoD.
• Over 15 years of experience in systems engineering on complex defense or aerospace programs.
• Proven leadership experience on an ACAT I/II Major Defense Acquisition Program (MDAP), with direct responsibility for system-of-systems integration.
• Demonstrated experience on a Major Defense Acquisition Program (MDAP) or other large-scale ACAT I/II programs.
• Expertise in requirements management, verification and validation, and Test & Evaluation (T&E) within a DoD context.
• Proven track record in developing and implementing a Modular Open System Architecture (MOSA) strategy for a large program.
• Capability to manage complex technical trades and interface challenges in a multi-contractor environment.
