This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.
• Oversee patch management operations for enterprise systems including Windows Server, Linux, virtual infrastructure, cloud environments, and endpoint devices.
• Formulate and uphold strategies for patch deployment, maintenance schedules, and compliance standards.
• Coordinate the remediation of critical, high, and medium-level vulnerabilities.
• Manage processes for exceptions and risk acceptance in collaboration with Information Security and application owners.
• Operate enterprise patching tools such as MECM/SCCM, Intune, Red Hat Satellite, and Ansible.
• Assist with the lifecycle management of operating systems, including upgrades, patching, and addressing end-of-support issues.
• Roll out and verify security updates in both production and non-production settings.
• Design and implement automation solutions to enhance patching efficiency, reporting, and compliance tracking.
• Enhance deployment processes, monitoring capabilities, and operational standards.
• Maintain metrics for patch compliance and service-level objectives.
• Generate reports for executives and operations regarding vulnerability remediation, compliance status, aging vulnerabilities, and risk exposure.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and organizational requirements.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, Cloud, Application Support, and Engineering teams.
• Provide technical expertise during significant vulnerability response events and emergency patching situations.
• Engage in change management reviews, maintenance planning, and assessments of production readiness.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the technical skill enhancement of the team.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise patch management, systems engineering, infrastructure operations, or vulnerability remediation.
• Extensive experience in Windows Server and Linux administration within large-scale enterprise settings.
• Practical experience with MECM/SCCM, Intune, Red Hat Satellite, Ansible, or comparable platforms.
• Familiarity with managing vulnerability remediation using tools like Qualys, Rapid7, or similar vulnerability management systems.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation utilizing PowerShell, Python, Ansible, or similar technologies.
• Preferred experience leading enterprise patch compliance or vulnerability management initiatives.
• Experience supporting cloud services such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud is preferred.
• Knowledge of NIST, CIS Benchmarks, and best practices in vulnerability management is preferred.
• Experience in developing executive dashboards, compliance reports, and operational metrics is preferred.
• Relevant certifications, including Security+, CISSP, RHCSA/RHCE, Azure Administrator, Microsoft Certified, or equivalent industry certifications are preferred.
• Access to home internet service with at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speed.
