Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Facilitate sales processes through technical presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-value sessions centered on SOC use cases.

• Collaborate with Sales and pre-sales teams on RFPs/RFIs that involve SOC, SIEM/SOAR, or managed security services.

• Create competitive positioning materials that highlight Fortinet's advantages in the SOC space.

• Assist in solution sizing and the development of technical proposals alongside sales colleagues.

• Serve as the trusted technical advisor on SOC issues for Telco SOC analysts and architects.

• Aid Telcos during their internal homologation and validation processes.

• Promote the adoption of FortiAnalyzer, FortiSOC, and SOCaaS within Telco SOC environments.

• Assist Telcos in designing monetized SOC-as-a-service solutions for their end customers.

• Facilitate the transition from standalone product sales to managed services.

• Design and support API-driven integrations with Telco self-service portals and internal tools.

• Utilize AI-driven analysis to enhance incident response times and decrease analyst workloads.

• Support Zero Touch Provisioning and automated deployment strategies.

• Connect best practices across seven regional Telco accounts and their respective country operations.

• Collaborate with GAMs and SEs assigned to each account.

• Implement regional SecOps strategies in conjunction with sales, pre-sales, product, and operations teams.

• Develop and maintain technical documentation, playbooks, and presentations.

• Represent Fortinet in technical discussions, workshops, and events.

• Stay updated on trends in SOC, SIEM/SOAR, and managed security services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree.

• Over 5 years of experience in a presales, solutions engineering, or technical sales role within the cybersecurity field.

• More than 5 years of direct experience with SOC, including incident validation, escalation, analyst workflows, and solution homologation.

• Previous experience with Service Providers, Telcos, or MSSPs is highly desirable.

• Strong understanding of SOC-related technologies: SIEM, SOAR, EDR/NDR, threat analytics, and incident response platforms.

• Familiarity with FortiAnalyzer, FortiSIEM, FortiSOAR, FortiEDR, FortiNDR, or similar solutions.

• Knowledge of API integrations, automation, and scripting, including Python, Ansible, or Terraform.

• Working knowledge of AI-driven security analytics for incident detection and response.

• Solid grasp of network security fundamentals, including Firewall/VPN, IPS/IDS, authentication, and encryption protocols such as IPSec, SSL, AES, and SHA.

• Proficiency in English and Spanish, both spoken and written, is required.

• Portuguese language skills are considered a strong advantage.

• Willingness to travel across LATAM as necessary.

• Fortinet product certifications are a plus.
