Systems Architect, Enterprise Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Enhance the customer experience by engaging with Mirantis customers, colleagues, stakeholders, partners, vendors, and other resources.

• Evaluate customer business strategies, motivations, limitations, current technology landscapes, application portfolios, external requirements, pain points, and challenges.

• Collaborate with customers to rectify the deficiencies of the current state.

• Leverage Mirantis products and expertise to evolve existing landscapes into cohesive, stable, secure, and future-ready platforms.

• Provide well-supported justifications for architectural recommendations.

• Establish yourself as a trusted advisor to customers.

• Work alongside the Mirantis product team to aid in further development and address any shortcomings.

• Present architectures, roadmaps, and justifications to customer executives and hands-on engineers.

• Engage with customers on-site across various regions during discovery, design, and advisory phases.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• Comprehensive architecture and engineering experience in infrastructure or platform engineering.

• Experience in customer-facing architecture or advisory roles.

• Ability to adopt a holistic view of the enterprise and align technology decisions with business objectives.

• Broad knowledge of private cloud platforms, including OpenStack.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes-based container platforms.

• Understanding of multi-cluster management concepts and tools.

• Knowledge of workload requirements.

• Acquainted with vSphere/VMware environments, virtualization strategies, and migration pathways toward open platforms.

• Expertise in bare-metal provisioning, physical infrastructure lifecycle, and data center principles.

• Familiarity with cloud or container platform components and their interrelations.

• Subject matter expertise in at least one domain, such as networking.

• Strong focus on solution orientation.

• Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python or Go.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both business and technical audiences.

• Willingness and ability to travel, primarily within the EU and US.

• Proficiency in English is required; additional European language skills are a plus.
