Systems Architect, Enterprise Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with customers, colleagues, stakeholders, partners, vendors, and other resources to enhance the customer experience.

• Evaluate customers' business strategies, drivers, and constraints.

• Examine the current technology landscapes, application portfolios, external influences, certifications, corporate resources, pain points, and challenges.

• Partner with customers to resolve existing shortcomings.

• Leverage Mirantis products and expertise to convert existing landscapes into cohesive, stable, secure, and future-ready platforms.

• Offer sound reasoning for recommendations provided.

• Establish yourself as a trusted advisor to customers.

• Collaborate with Mirantis product teams to enhance development and address deficiencies.

• Present architectures, roadmaps, and justifications to executives and technical engineers.

• Engage directly with customers across various regions during the discovery, design, and advisory phases.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• Significant experience in architecture and engineering, particularly in infrastructure or platform engineering.

• Experience in customer-facing architecture or advisory roles.

• Ability to view the enterprise comprehensively and link technology decisions to business objectives.

• Broad knowledge of private cloud platforms, including OpenStack.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes-based container platforms.

• Understanding of multi-cluster management concepts and tools.

• Awareness of workload requirements.

• Knowledge of VMware vSphere environments, virtualization strategies, and migration paths.

• Experience with bare-metal provisioning and the lifecycle of physical infrastructure.

• Understanding of data center concepts.

• Knowledge of cloud or container platform components and their integration.

• Expertise in at least one area, such as networking.

• Proficiency in at least one programming language, like Python or Go.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills for both business and technical audiences.

• Willingness and ability to travel, primarily within the EU and US.

• Additional proficiency in European languages beyond English is a plus.

• Experience with Mirantis products and services is advantageous.

• Familiarity with SDN, SDS, workload orchestration, AI inference requirements, enterprise architecture frameworks, and hybrid or multi-cloud strategies is beneficial.
