Systems Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Establish and uphold the comprehensive technical architecture for all products.

• Develop and share a roadmap for the evolution of the platform, modernization efforts, and the reduction of technical debt.

• Set benchmarks for security practices, code quality, deployment strategies, and observability within engineering teams.

• Take ownership of technology selection choices in alignment with long-term objectives.

• Facilitate the shift from custom, client-specific modifications to a scalable, configuration-oriented product model.

• Lead architectural decisions for software hosted on Azure, focusing on resource standardization, cost efficiency, and consistency between cloud and on-premises environments.

• Define and enhance CI/CD pipelines, automate deployments, and refine release processes.

• Design and manage the evolution of the API layer, addressing aspects such as identity management, authorization, containerization, and tenant isolation.

• Supervise the reporting architecture, including the transition from Crystal Reports to a contemporary reporting platform.

• Collaborate with Product Management to ensure alignment between technical strategies and the product roadmap.

• Articulate technical decisions and their business implications to Sales, Customer Success, Professional Services, and senior leadership.

• Mentor and guide engineering teams in technical matters.

• Advocate for engineering excellence, promote knowledge sharing, and ensure thorough documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient hands-on experience with C#.

• Knowledge of C#/.NET migration and modernization strategies.

• Strong familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks such as React or Angular.

• Advanced knowledge of SQL Server, including query optimization, schema design, and reporting infrastructure.

• Required experience with SSRS and SSIS.

• Familiarity with Azure cloud infrastructure and services.

• Experience in designing and implementing security standards, encompassing secrets management, tenant isolation, authentication and authorization frameworks, and API security.

• Over 3 years of experience, with significant roles in senior or principal engineering or architecture positions.

• Preferred experience in designing, launching, and maintaining Windows-based desktop applications.

• Experience with legacy Delphi codebases is a plus.

• AWS experience, particularly with S3 and multi-cloud environments, is preferred.

• Practical knowledge of Docker and container orchestration is advantageous.

• Familiarity with compliance-driven, government-adjacent software environments is beneficial but not mandatory.
