System Engineer – Open Source

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.

📋 Description

• Engineering, stabilization, and secure further enhancement of the relevant services and platforms.

• Guaranteeing the quality, stability, and security of the services managed within the project.

• Actively engaging in the ongoing development of the project platform and operational procedures.

• Leveraging modern technologies to support a secure and stable private cloud infrastructure.

• Concentrating on the operation and further development of a dedicated collaboration platform in a secure environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Technical qualification (EFZ) along with further education (FH/HF) in Computer Science.

• Strong understanding of Linux system administration (RHEL servers, Red Hat OpenShift Container) and container orchestration (preferably Kubernetes, OpenShift).

• Experience in operating commonly used open-source applications in a production environment.

• Proficient in automation and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible).

• Familiarity with networking technologies, web servers (Apache/Nginx), databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL), and security concepts; knowledge of ITIL practices and LDAP/SSO integrations is advantageous.

• Experience in automating infrastructure and operational processes (GitOps CI/CD); knowledge of the Atlassian suite (Confluence & Jira) and monitoring tools (Zabbix) is a plus.

• Passionate about open-source technologies and agile working methodologies (SAFe 6.0).

• A team player who enjoys customer interaction, possesses excellent communication skills, and has a solution-oriented working style.

• Excellent German language proficiency, both spoken and written.
