Software Embedded Engineer, Image Quality

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and optimize AE/AWB and day-night transition algorithms for camera and sensor pipelines.

• Integrate and customize vendor-specific DSP/ISP SDKs and APIs utilizing vendor reference and sample code.

• Create and execute on-device integration test scenarios to verify image quality performance.

• Identify and troubleshoot complex image quality and camera pipeline challenges across various lighting conditions and hardware variations.

• Collaborate with hardware teams, DSP vendors, and software groups to integrate and validate camera/IQ components from start to finish.

• Assess and incorporate new vendor SDKs, tools, and tuning techniques.

• Offer technical support and resolve issues during IQ integration or in field usage.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional development experience in C, C++, and Python.

• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines.

• Strong grasp of AE (auto exposure) and AWB (auto white balance) algorithms as well as day-night transition logic.

• Familiarity with image quality domain terminology and principles.

• Advanced proficiency in C/C++ for embedded and firmware development.

• Significant experience working with vendor-specific DSP/ISP SDKs and APIs.

• Capability to read, comprehend, and modify vendor sample/reference code.

• Knowledge of embedded hardware, sensors, and communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART).

• Experience in validating and debugging image quality behavior primarily through integration and on-device testing.

• Proficient in using debugging tools for troubleshooting and performance optimization.

• English proficiency at Level B1+/B2.
