This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +13 more states.
• Conduct systems analysis and collaborate with users and stakeholders to establish functional specifications for software and systems.
• Enhance, support, design, build, configure, maintain, and implement applications and complex system modifications.
• Address intricate application, database, hardware, and system challenges.
• Assist in developing functional specifications for application projects.
• Oversee IT project initiatives, including planning activities for both small and large-scale projects.
• Direct project scoping, resource allocation, time management, execution, and go-live processes.
• Serve as a mentor for colleagues, fostering cross-training, coaching, and a culture of service excellence.
• Attend to technical assistance requests in accordance with incident and request management protocols.
• Deliver quality status updates to stakeholders via communication tools and the service management platform.
• Manage relationships with vendors and ensure accountability for SLA and project-scope deliverables.
• Build and sustain partnerships with stakeholders and operational owners.
• Provide documentation for post-go-live support to team members.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues independently or escalate to the necessary resources.
• Document, assess, and revise configuration changes following ITIL standards and departmental procedures.
• Report safety-related incidents and adhere to relevant regulations, company policies, mandatory training, and safety protocols.
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a closely related field, or 7 years of relevant experience.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience as a Healthcare IT Analyst.
• At least 7 years of experience in system implementations, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
• Over 7 years of experience in process improvement, project planning/work breakdown, or workflow management.
• A minimum of 7 years working with EMR, ERP, or other healthcare applications.
• At least 5 years of experience in issue mitigation through updates, modifications, configuration, and evaluation of both production and non-production systems.
• 7+ years of application support experience, including the drafting, reviewing, and approval of application changes and corresponding documentation.
• 7+ years of experience in providing resolutions through Incident Management and Change Management processes in alignment with ITIL guidelines.
• Understanding of healthcare business operations, departments, and processes.
• Familiarity with database and application software systems within a healthcare setting.
• Experience in leading small projects, encompassing scoping, time management, and execution.
• Cerner Fundamentals certification required within 6 months of hire for EHR application support of Clinical and Revenue Cycle applications.
• Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting system, hardware, database, and application issues.
• Capable of independently creating and implementing effective solutions.
• Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines.
• Occasional on-call duties as a subject matter expert; physical response may not be necessary.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• Two professional certifications are preferred.
• ITIL v3 or higher Foundation certification is preferred.
