This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the businesses of customers and their decision-making factors.
• Link Pure Storage and ecosystem technology solutions to quantifiable customer business results.
• Collaborate with account managers, specialists, and channel partners to formulate customer strategies that foster revenue growth and new business opportunities.
• Demonstrate the benefits of Pure Storage solutions.
• Enhance sales strategies and tactics while assuming technical responsibilities.
• Offer technical guidance and domain expertise on storage products, distributed storage architectures, file systems, and DAS, NAS, and SAN solutions.
• Oversee evaluations, benchmarks, and system configurations.
• Create and deliver technical product and architecture presentations to customers and potential clients.
• Gather requirements and convert customer business needs into innovative solutions.
• Draft responses to RFIs and RFPs.
• Discover opportunities for interoperability, functional, and performance testing and validation.
• Advocate for roadmap and planning discussions.
• Collaborate with product and technical marketing to generate materials that support alliances.
• Remain updated on competitor activities and maintain a unique solution positioning.
• Monitor market trends and the competitive landscape to encourage thought leadership.
• Lead by example embodying Pure Values: Persistence, Creativity, Teamwork, Ownership, and a Customer-first approach.
• Experience in pre-sales is essential.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in technology, design, and communications is required.
• Experience facilitating sales of enterprise storage, networking, systems, cloud, or software to enterprise clients is preferred.
• Profound understanding of multi-tiered client/server and web-based computing solution architecture, design, and implementation.
• Experience in targeting new prospects and successfully converting them into clients.
• Experience in contributing to or leading RFP, RFQ, and RFI responses.
• Extensive knowledge of storage architectures, including FC, iSCSI, NAS, OSD, and SAN.
• Understanding of Linux, NFS file systems, and Linux distributed network environments.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and GCP is a plus.
• Experience in installing and configuring distributed computing, multiprocessing, virtual memory, storage subsystems, shared memory architectures, cache architectures, and windowing systems.
• Knowledge of containers, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture is a plus.
• Strong understanding of Cloud Native, On-Prem, Public Cloud, provisioning automation, and containers.
• Familiarity with VMware, Local Area Networking, Ethernet, TCP/IP, and general networking.
• Exceptional verbal and written interpersonal skills.
• A BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, another technical degree, and/or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with modern web architecture, including LAMP stack, scale-out versus scale-up architectures, AWS Well-Architected Framework, and microservices architecture is noted as a plus.
• A curiosity and enthusiasm for technology and a proven ability to explain new technology platforms and concepts to customers.
• Knowledge of storage-intensive applications such as structured databases, SQL, and Oracle is highly desirable.
