System Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Make architectural decisions within the defined overall and system architecture for all services, taking into account performance, security, and stability.

• Provide guidance to the ITZBund specialist department and the design team regarding the specifics of technical requirements, technical efforts, and complexity factors.

• Design system architecture that adheres to security standards and certifications such as ISO 27001 and BSI-Grundschutz.

• Continuously enhance development architecture and processes.

• Prepare and deliver information and decision-making documents.

• Organize and facilitate knowledge transfer to employees.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive expertise in the role of architect for enterprise projects.

• Deep understanding of microservice architectures.

• Comprehensive knowledge of relational databases.

• Proficient in cloud technologies such as Kubernetes and OpenShift, or comparable cloud solutions.

• Advanced knowledge of container virtualization technologies like Docker or similar options.

• In-depth experience with complex projects that involve numerous individual components and their configurations.

• Expert understanding of IT security and data protection.

• Strong knowledge of version control systems, including Git.

• Proficient in distributed infrastructure components, including geo-redundancy.

• Minimum of 5 years of demonstrable practical experience.

• Located in Germany.

• Fluent in both oral and written German at C2 level is required.

• Sufficient proficiency in English.
