System Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop and document comprehensive cloud hosting architectures, including capacity management, software and instance type selection, resource allocation, and network design.

• Construct systems through the installation, configuration, and testing of cloud resources.

• Utilize automation and configuration management to guarantee repeatability and traceability of modifications.

• Diagnose issues related to system hardware, software, networks, and operating systems.

• Establish access controls and monitoring systems to safeguard system integrity and security.

• Deliver written assessments and suggestions for continuous improvement.

• Oversee and evaluate systems while performing performance optimization.

• Maintain documentation for internal systems and customer deployments.

• Engage in a 24x7 on-call rotation, typically one week on call and one week on backup each month.

• Address support tickets and incidents in line with SLA commitments.

• Enhance job knowledge through educational opportunities, professional publications, personal networks, and industry organizations.

• Over 2 years of experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).

• Proficient to fluent communication skills in English.

• Familiarity with Linux system administration.

• Experience in scripting languages; Python and Shell are preferred.

• Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP and HTTP protocols.

• Experience with web accelerators, load balancers, reverse proxies, and CDNs.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to thrive in an agile, fast-paced environment.

• Customer-focused with effective communication abilities.

• Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, approximately one shift per month.

• AWS Certifications are advantageous, or a readiness to pursue certification.

• Interest in Generative AI technologies.

• Some background in Windows system administration.

• Must be a resident of Brazil.
