
Epic Client Systems Administrator – Web and Service Servers

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the maintenance of Hyperspace Web (HSW) server environments and their configurations.
• Diagnose service availability, connectivity, and performance issues in collaboration with application and infrastructure teams.
• Manage Interconnect environments, their deployments, and overall service health.
• Investigate issues related to endpoint availability, connection failures, and web-service performance.
• Support server-side components that are integral to MyChart.
• Coordinate changes and troubleshoot availability problems alongside MyChart analysts, networking, and security teams.
• Administer Windows Server and IIS components effectively.
• Oversee certificate renewals, load-balancer changes, DNS dependencies, and ensure secure connectivity.
• Deploy approved updates in both nonproduction and production environments.
• Prepare implementation plans, validate service health, and maintain procedures for rollback.
• Monitor the health of the infrastructure and investigate recurring issues.
• Automate operational checks while maintaining configuration records and support runbooks.
• Provide updates on incidents and coordinate escalations with vendors.
• Work with operational owners to coordinate changes to services used by patients and clinicians.
• A minimum of three years of experience as an Epic ECSA within a hospital or health system.
• Current Epic ECSA certification that includes Hyperspace Web and Interconnect.
• Experience in production administration and troubleshooting related to HSW, Interconnect, and MyChart infrastructure.
• Proficient working knowledge of Windows Server, IIS, TLS certificates, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, and load-balancing concepts.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, virtualization, and PowerShell or similar scripting languages.
• Ability to identify issues pertaining to applications, servers, networks, and databases.
• Competence in coordinating troubleshooting efforts across teams and effective communication during service disruptions.
• Willingness to participate in a scheduled on-call rotation.
• Capability to perform approved maintenance tasks outside of regular hours.
• Preferred: Epic ECSA MyChart certification.
• Preferred: Experience with F5 BIG-IP load balancing.
• Additional experience with Epic printing, Business Continuity Access, or other ECSA components is advantageous.
• Experience in cloud and automation is considered a plus.
• Ability to adhere to established security and change-control protocols.
