This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with technology firms, founders, CFOs, investors, and other influential stakeholders.
• Recognize opportunities to connect Customers Bank with potential technology clients.
• Formulate and implement relationship strategies for both current and prospective clients.
• Comprehend clients’ business models, capital frameworks, financing requirements, and overall banking needs.
• Collaborate with senior bankers to enhance client relationships and discover opportunities across lending, deposits, treasury management, and various banking products.
• Construct and uphold a pipeline of potential technology banking clients.
• Forge connections with venture capital firms, private equity firms, investment banks, attorneys, accountants, and other participants in the technology ecosystem.
• Engage in networking, industry, and investor events.
• Create referrals and new business opportunities.
• Evaluate and structure financing options alongside credit and underwriting teams.
• Prepare financial analyses, credit documentation, and client presentations.
• Assist in loan structuring, negotiations, documentation, and closure processes.
• Oversee portfolio performance and relay emerging risks or opportunities.
• Collaborate with the SVP, Head of Technology Banking, and the Technology Banking team to implement the group’s business strategy.
• Work in conjunction with Credit, Treasury Management, Capital Markets, and other internal stakeholders.
• Assume responsibility for assigned relationships and opportunities.
• Provide market intelligence and insights to enhance the Bank’s technology banking offerings.
• Over 10 years of experience in commercial, corporate, technology, or related banking fields.
• Preferred experience with technology companies, venture-backed businesses, or other growth-focused organizations.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain client and referral relationships.
• Strong skills in financial analysis and credit evaluation.
• Knowledge of venture capital, technology company financing, and the broader technology landscape.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and a readiness to contribute to a developing platform.
• Capacity to collaborate effectively across business, credit, and product teams.
• A Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite and ability to learn/use other Customers Bank applications.
• Familiarity with AI and automation tools that enhance productivity, workflow efficiency, and client engagement.
