This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +3 more states.
• Lead the strategy for contracts related to key federal growth initiatives.
• Work in collaboration with executive leadership, Business Development, Capture, and Proposal teams to shape deals, analyze risks, position competitively, and structure transactions.
• Oversee the negotiation, drafting, management, and conclusion of intricate federal prime contracts, subcontracts, teaming agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and commercial instruments.
• Act as the main contractual authority and point of contact for Government Contracting Officers, prime partners, and personnel involved in customer acquisition.
• Manage negotiations, contract modifications, claims, issues related to protests, and program affairs.
• Develop negotiation and risk management strategies to safeguard legal, financial, operational, compliance, and reputational interests.
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Procurement, Security, Regulatory Compliance, Human Resources, and Delivery teams.
• Ensure adherence to FAR, DFARS, agency-specific procurement regulations, customer terms, and corporate governance standards.
• Lead, mentor, and cultivate the skills of contracts professionals.
• Drive enhancements in processes, operational tools, governance frameworks, and contract training.
• Oversee statements of work, compliance checkpoints, and federal reporting obligations.
• Manage the entire contract lifecycle from initial capture shaping to deal closure and post-award administration.
• A minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in federal contracts management, subcontract management, proposal support, negotiations, procurement, legal operations, or related fields.
• Extensive experience in negotiating and managing complex U.S. government contracts and subcontracts.
• Direct experience in federal information technology contracting.
• In-depth understanding of federal contracting principles, procurement statutes, and compliance standards.
• Significant experience with FAR, particularly Parts 12 and 15, and DFARS.
• Proven experience leading high-value, complex contract negotiations that involve multidisciplinary teams and executive stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk mitigation skills.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capacity to balance commercial growth objectives with contractual, statutory, and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work independently while guiding cross-functional teams.
• Practical experience with daily transactional execution, drafting, and compliance monitoring.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Reside within the Washington, DC / DMV Beltway region, specifically in Washington, DC, Maryland, or Virginia.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Legal Studies, Contract Management, Public Administration, or a related discipline.
