This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kenya.
• Create comprehensive, high-level reports on crucial sustainable finance topics related to climate.
• Organize and facilitate events focused on climate finance.
• Oversee climate-centered projects and engage with key stakeholders within the climate finance and development sectors.
• Contribute to projects that are positive for both climate and nature, ensuring all deliverables are precise and delivered on time.
• Prepare presentations, technical documents, and briefing materials for advisory roles in climate finance.
• Develop financial models aimed at climate mitigation and adaptation investments.
• Execute due diligence on transactions aligned with climate objectives.
• Assist in structuring solutions for green and blue finance.
• Research climate data, risk metrics, impact measurement frameworks, and market opportunities pertinent to investment initiatives.
• Aid in the design and implementation of investment solutions focused on climate resilience, net-zero transitions, and nature-positive outcomes.
• Investigate and analyze climate impacts, associated risks, and financial solutions across sectors such as energy transition, climate-smart agriculture, water and food security, resilient infrastructure, and ecosystem restoration.
• Candidates must reside in Nairobi.
• Must have access to a home office setup that enables full-time remote work.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Capability to articulate complex climate and finance concepts to a variety of stakeholders.
• A genuine commitment to climate action.
• A clear understanding of how climate finance facilitates net-zero transitions and enhances climate resilience.
• A strong eagerness to build expertise in climate finance, structuring green investments, and measuring climate impacts.
• Ability to work autonomously and ensure deliverables are executed accurately and punctually.
• Proficient report writing capabilities, especially on technical topics related to climate and finance.
• Excellent management of project timelines.
• A collaborative team player who can adapt to new challenges within a dynamic, mission-oriented environment.
• Fluency in English.
• Recent graduate with a degree in Climate Change, Climate Finance, Environmental Science, Sustainable Finance, or International Development emphasizing climate issues.
• Proven interest in climate action and a working understanding of climate science, associated risks, or potential solutions.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Desirable skills include climate research and data analysis, climate risk assessment, scenario modeling, impact quantification, presentation design, and financial modeling for green and climate investments.
• Fluency in an additional language is highly preferred.
